iv just installed this theme and when i go into the portal i get a sql error but when i put the mybb default on it goes back to normal

Go into your Admin-CP -> Board Settings -> Edit -> Portal Settings and make sure that you entered at least the ID of one forum where you want to get the announcements from.
This really should be classified as a bug though shouldn't it? I mean, if someone doesn't put an ID in or puts an invalid ID in, MyBB should run a check before trying to get posts from it.
What's the use of a portal without announcements? >.<
