I'll not, but I think when anyone doing that, must show it as defult templet not customized right?
and there is other problem in the same case, when you export theme and use the following options
Include only Customized Items? = Yes
Include Templates? = Yes
Include only Customized Templates? = Yes

whene you Import it you will see 90% of the templets in green even it's customized or not. thats happen with me!!

I've never had that happen before. Also you should be receiving an error message.
