Well I don't know which you're referring to but I've listed all the templates they need to be placed in. What code are you looking at specifically?

Did you notice this part? You should have two template sets, the original one from the theme you're upgrading and the new one that you're copying things into for 1.8.
While creating theme, it ask for selection of parent theme?
what to select?
The parent theme should be the master MyBB theme. The template set should be a newly created one.
There is no option to select newly created one.
so how to make new template used by new theme?
