Just started messing around today with Photoshop and came up with this. Not sure if I will alter colors but overall Im happy so far. Neither fancy nor complex......what do you think? Its not done yet, just taking a break to soak it in

Just a suggestion, try decreasing the height of the header and increasing the whitespace throughout the theme to bring the consistency together.

I think this:
- Header too big.
- For me, the lines on the background don't fit (But's only me).
- The active menu it's okey but I recommend to you put padding instead of margin, that gives the active selector a bit of padding to the sides and looks better.
- I don't think the green color on the links fit here (Too bright for the background).
- The search needs to have the same width as the sideboxes to fit better, also the thead on the sideboxes needs a bit of padding to be like the thead on the forums ^^.
The rest it's okey for me, smooth start
