i just upgraded to 1.8 and noticing the my quick edit option is not working.
how is that not working? Can you please explain what the error is?
I click over the quick edit option and nothing happens. Full edit works fine but after clicking on "edit" and then over to "quick edit" then nothing happens.
I am experiencing the same thing. I just upgraded last night. The full edit works fine, but quick edit does nothing. This is on the default template.
(Testing - Quick edit works fine here.)
Then there must be an error in the upgrade process. My forum was upgraded too and i just tested that my quick edit is working fine on my forum. But my forum was upgraded by experts. That is all i know
forum url and test user account should be provided so that someone can check the issue.

It is possible it may have failed if your headerinclude template was not changed since jQuery is used instead of prototype. That means most ajax functions will fail without it.
