How do i merge forums?

Like merge 1.8 to ipb?
or 1.6 mybb to 1.8 please?

IPB forum can be converted to MyBB by using the Merge System.
MyBB 1.6 needs to be upgraded to 1.8 to merge with existing MyBB 1.8 forum.
