Hey all,
is there a call function that can trigger a notification when a readers receives a new reply to their thread,
if searched all over google and the forum but no solutions yet.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there and thank you for responding, those are great links, I'm referring to instant notifications,when a user receives a "reply' to only their posts.
I came across something called myAlerts but it was for 1.6.

MyAlerts will be updated for MyBB 1.8 pretty soon. The developer is making a few changes and adding some new features before releasing it officially.
