I'm very sorry that my first post have to be a question. I'm a complete newbie here.

I installed the latest version (MyBB 1.8) and when I try to visit forums I created, I'll get this error:

"Not Found

The requested URL /forum-3.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request"

My forum URL is http://www.farmersjoint.com.

Please how can I fix this problem?
http://www.farmersjoint.com/index.php Was this the link you were looking for?
You can rename index.php -> forum.php , add this in your header template, and rename your portal.php -> index.php.
Hi, looks like you fixed it. I was able to log right on.

Wonders shall never end with codes. Thanks very much! I'll try this out and give a feedback.

I just noticed that the problem have fixed itself. Before I made this post, if you go to my homepage and click on any of the forums, you'll get the error message I posted above. When I test it today it was no more. What could be the cause? Can it be due to some plugins I installed? I have installed google seo, google analytics, stop forum spam and plugin library.
If you have Google SEO installed you need to rename htaccess.txt to just .htaccess or you will get 404 not found errors.

I have both files in my root folder.
Sorry for the late reply. I guess the problem was due to google seo. You need to click on configure and add some codes to the .htaccess.
