I am trying to upgrade from 1.6.15 to 1.8.1 but after deleting the lock file I am still getting the error. I really need my site up within the next couple hours. What should I do?

But look up a video. I had the problem before, but I don't remember how to fix it, I found it on YouTube.

Can someone please help me asap right now. The stupid error is still occurring after deleting the lock file. It does't make sense. There is no lock file, why does it keep saying to delete it?

If anyone can help me I'd be wiling to pay $5. I need this done really quickly because I am hold a giveaway on my forum!

So the problem was that the DNS records for my domain was old for anyone else maybe having this issue.

if you changed DNS then you should wait 24 hours coz its connect to old DNS sometime
