Well, this isn't a plugin issue as I've disabled all the plugins and this issue still persists.

When ever I or anyone else replies back to a thread, the reply then becomes the author post. I.e, the first post.

Before making the reply:

As you can see, the reply becomes the 1st post. Possible fix?

provide a test user account so that someone can check the issue

Test account:
Username: testprobe
Password: Accounting321
generalmb.com

Are you running in threaded mode by any chance? If so, try switching to linear mode. That should solve your issue.
