Is it OK to add the Google Analytics code to the php pages in MyBB?

I particular would like to add the Analytics Code to the home page (index.php).

I think you would add to the headerinclude template. <--Is this right, Anyone?

general preference is to put it at bottom of the footer template. should also work if added to headerinclude template
