is there a way to put some links in the navigation bar that will only show in the index page. when you navigated to other pages it will not show.

I have been trying to locate the method controlling the navigation.

I want to include some stuff in the navigation that will only show on the index page, but will not show when navigated to other pages.

the navigation part is in the "Navigation templates" in your ACP >> Templates... but its not easily possible to add links to nav bar and to be displayed only in index..

I would rather suggest you to add a separate bar, just like this forum has on index which gives info about the latest release etc...
