Full Version: Square theme - are these really the right instructions?

Quote:1. Open the "Upload" folder and upload all the content to the root of your forum.

2. If the system ask you to replace, press "yes", it's only custom content.
3. Go to ACP > Templates & Styles > Import a Theme > Select the Square-theme.xml and press upload.
4. Go to Themes and set Square as the default theme.
5. Go to Configuration > Plugins and activate "XSTYLED custom languaje vars".


It looks like I'm being told to replace a lot of important-looking files: is that really what I'm meant to do?
just checked it and found that it doesn't replace any of MyBB system files.
I managed to eventually work out what the instructions were telling me: not to actually upload and replace the directories included, but to upload the files to the directories using the same structure.

It's been a while since I used myBB, so I couldn't remember how the system worked and there is no documentation on the myBB site for how to install themes and plugins.
^ in general, we use a ftp client (eg. filezilla) with a setting that it notifies replacing existing files & asks what to do
