Whats a Ch, directory I can use for my members to load Avatars. Currently they are not able too!

This is the path where custom avatars will be uploaded to. This directory must be chmod 777

I need to know how this all works. I don't understand? My members cannot upload avatars.

~/uploads/avatars is the location of avatars.
if you can take a backup of avatars folder from icyboards then you can upload them to the new files server
