Which is more important on a board? Someone who comes on and first thing they do is post an introduction. Or someone who contributes to a forum but never makes an introduction thread?
I have mixed feelings on this thread so discuss your opinions.
why someone would want to introduce himself. its usually a personal choice. Its all about contribution in my personal opinion. If someone is there for an interview job at your forum, then introduction is nice..lol
Discussions are more important because it gives others the chance to discuss the same idea so the value of the thread is higher. The main time you would really remember someone is if it is a small forum.
imho, intros are important. Iam so used to it whenever i join, i want everyone to get to know me better. For those who does an intro and never posts are dead weight for any board.
