Hello,

Me and a friend are starting a little clan and we're having trouble making a theme...
i've tried uploading a few themes we like (including images) but they don't seem to work.
we've also tried making our own theme, but cant seem to find a updated 1.8.1 tutorial on
how to make our own theme.

So here are my 2 Questions (sort of)

1) how can i make a theme work with 1.8.1 if the theme was made for 1.6

2) if you cant do question 1, where can i find a tutorial for 1.8.1? (I've used a tutorial before did everything he said on it but it didn't work... to find out the video was older mybb version)

Thanks in advance... I tried asking on the forums of the host but they've ignored it and answered everyone elses questions...

few linjs which might be of use.... the tutorial maybe written for 1.6 but the concept remains same for 1.8 as well....

also I would like to add that your hosts have a good support forums as well... you can certainly get better help there....

thanks, the 3rd link you posted looks like what im looking for, If you could aswell, is there a website i could use for Hex colours? isnt like i know them off by heart (i have very little coding knowledge)

I usually use the web inspector (right click >> inspect element) in chrome or firebug in Firefox to edit codes.. that's easier as we can see what and how it is changed....
