In your opinion what keeps a forum alive?
Activity, and for that you need reliable and active posters.

One most have tons of posts and active posters, but when starting out you don't have it lol.

Sadly, a active forum is quite like a double edge sword.
A thread a day keep a forums alive. Well.. Oh well..
I believe that the admin have to be active and make at least one thread everyday.
affiliation is good to get activity up. But you need to be commited..some fall short of that goal. Quality threads is a plus. Some say having too many threads isnt good for a forum, but it keeps a board busy and the thought of having a wide variety of topics would attract new members. Iam a member of a few dead boards with me as only member..which is fine with me.
