Did MyBB 1.8 get rid of the Avatar Galleries?
If so, then what's the purpose of the "Avatar Directory" setting under "Login and Registration Options". I looked in the template and it looks like there's still code to support the galleries, yet I'm not getting a list of my galleries from 1.6.
Then I looked at usercp.php and noticed that the code that used to load the gallery directories, is gone. Was this just moved to another file?

Found my answer. Yes, they were removed in 1.8. To restore the functionality, one can install the Avatar Gallery plugin.
