after installing this plugin its showing like this.

I have the same situation

I am using PHP 5.6.4
Tested on 5.4 also not working
Running on DVZ Shoutbox 2.1.2 (build #7) 

Followed instruction on the placement of css code from
http://community.mybb.com/thread-164871....t=shoutbox

But it seems that the css not in effect.

Can you provide the URL of your forums?

Seems fine now; try a hard refresh (CTRL+F5).

Realised likely it is the cloudflare cache, refusing to update the latest css. I purge cache and the css works.

I also moved the {$dvz_shoutbox} to

<div class="forum" style="float: left; width: 76%;">{$dvz_shoutbox}{$forums}</div>
{$boardstats}

If not, there will be a huge space above shoutbox.
