In order to support my forum financially I am considering limiting attachment uploads to paid members. Does anyone know how to go about modifying MyBB to handle that?

You have group for paying members?

If yes allow group paying members to post attachments and group of registered members to can't post them...

To do that go to Admin cp -> Users & groups -> groups

click on options right to group name wich you want to unable to post attachment and than click edit group.

Now click at Forums and posts.

You will see option Can post attachments? Just uncheck checkbox and click Save user group.

If I understand thread author want
just to restrict members who aren't payed to upload attachments in posts.
Maybe to save forum space so this is way to restrict upload of attachments.

That plugin is, as I know for uploads and downloads but that don't affect attachments.

MyBB is pretty new to me (just installed it last month) so in answer "how you think?" Until just now I had almost no idea how to think about the problem.
