When ever I try to find the root directory I cant seem to find it. Nor can I install the plugin properly. If someone can include an extremely detailed guide on how to implement this plugin, it would be most appreciated.
root directory is your MyBB files server main folder where you have index.php, global.php, xmlhttp.php, other files & folders.
root directory has a subfolder named inc. plugins is a subfolder of inc. basically plugins files to be added into plugins folder

replies here might help in understanding plugins installation

Thank you for your help, but, the problem still persists. Do you have any other ideas?
Sethnal, are you using a ftp program, like Filezilla?

I am.
Well, then... If you sift through your directories you will find out where your forum is sitting.
In my case it is within a directory called "public-html/forum", but that depends from installation to installation... I cannot guess it. Smile

Once you have identified the correct directory you are home and dry.

What is the address of your forum?

You should have directory called "MyBB" somewhere...

Can you post a screenshot of Filezilla after you have logged on?

Yes. I clearly see the MyBB Directory. I have uploaded the plugin into it and it does not upload into the ACP. Here is a link to the screenshot of my filezilla. Thank you for being patient and courteous. http://imgur.com/8mRyZnx
OK, so if you click inside MyBB you should see the forum.

This is what I see in my forum (note that my directory is called "forum", but that's the same as your "MyBB")
