The operating system of the users who create a post in a forum is detected properly up to Windows8. Windows 8.1 however is recognized as "Windows NT".

I guess there is a config file that needs to be updated or enhanced. Can someone point me where I can find further information on this? Thanks.

Not sure what you mean (be more descriptive please), I guess you're talking about a plugin which shows OS in postbit, so moving to Plugin Support.
