I would like to be added to this as well. I am planning on opening up UnexplainedPhenomena.net (I also own UnexplainedPhenomena.Info, Unexplained-Phenomena.com, Unexplained-Phenomena.net & Unexplained-Phenomena.info)
Instead of using a paid for community software I would like to use MyBB as I have used it previously and found it to be a perfect substitute for vBulletin. My current plans are to have seperate forums at different URLS such as: admin.unexplainedphenomena.net - this would be for administrative/site news.
ghosts.unexplainedphenomena.net would be for areas discussing ghosts/hauntings - and so forth. I would like these to have seperate forum softwares and yet share the user database (and only the user database).
This would come in handy for my plans. Please consider placing me in the test run. I've worked on Beta projects for vBSEO (Pre-Release Team Member), Microsoft (Windows XP, Vista and Office 2007) - I am an official Microsoft Beta Tester.

Hi,
The merge system does not provide this functionality - it is purely for converting other bulletin board software in to a MyBB installation.
Ok, thanks for the info.
Is there a way to do this manually that you are aware of? I don't mind getting dirty, I just need to be pointed into the right direction in order to create such a function.
I would still be interested in beta testing this between MyBB, IPB 2.0.0 (the unlimited trial that I've had forever) & vBulletin 3.6.5
There's some
discussion down at the code modifications forum about creating a converge like system
I have 3 large vbulletin forums and would like to convert one of them to mybb. If you have room for the beta, I would be glad to help out.
I'd like to help beta test. I currently have a vBulletin forum (my license has expired) that I'd like to convert to MyBB.

Would love to test as well- going from phpbb to mybb. The phpbb was originally converted from php_fusion just to make it interesting
The other phpbb conversion script I tried did not pick up users for some reason or other.
i would like to try the convertor...
currently holding IPBv1.2 and wanna convert to myBB cause there's some problems with the forum which makes it very hard to edit...
hw do i go about to get the convertor?

Just wait until you're added to the group of beta users, then you will have access to the forum to download the converter.
I would like to convert
THIS FORUM to MyBB from phpBB.
I have a little technical knowledge, and I am eager to provide feedback.
Please allow me to BETA test this fantastic system!
