using a fresh 1.2.3 install, I cant get pic attachments to show as thumbnail in post. Have checked admin cp and is turned on. any suggestions. Thx.
Check to make sure your host has GD library built into the php.
You can check in the admincp by clicking View "PHP Info" under Maintenance...look for GD library support.

Did you put the attachment link in the post? (eg; [attach=123])
thx for the replies. seems when I uploaded a bmp pic of 396k it wudnt show as thumb just as icon. when uploaded same image in jpeg it showed thumbnail. Yet have attachments of bmp allowed up to 500k.

Yep, MyBB can't create a thumbnail from bmp files.
Ok thx at least thats cleared up as to why it was happening, besides jpeg with the lesser size is always the way to go. delete the bmp if u like.
