1.) First off, how do I add some spacing between the avatar and my username?

Here's how it looked before:

2.) The 'forum contains no new post' feature and the collapse arrow on the index page are not working. 

3.) The user profile page under 'Contact Details' does not look correct.

4.) How do I get rid of the 'default avatar'?

5.) Last but not least, for subforums how do I set it up so they show up right next to each other instead of stacked up like the screenshot below:

which version of MyBB you are referring ?
if upgrading to MyBB 1.8.x then earlier 1.6.x version's theme is not compatible with MyBB 1.8.x
first it should be made compatible and later do required adjustments

upgrading guidance Wrote:Visit your Admin Control Panel, then go to Templates & Style > Templates > Find Updated Templates. This will show you a list of all the templates that have changed during the upgrade.

You can either revert these templates to their default - meaning all the changes you've made to it will be removed - or you can see a Diff Report which will show you exactly what's changed. If you have a custom theme installed, it is probably best that you look at the Diff Report and apply the changes you need.
