I use the 'view todays posts' a lot. So it would be handy so I can edit the thread titles of some discussions from there (using ajax)..

Yeah I forgot to mention the ajax stuff. But that was what I meant.

I was thinking of this just today btw because i had totaly forgot that MyBB has this feature, then i remembered it then i asked myself does this work in the search pages?
