I've read through several threads with this problems, the solutions were too particular to the sites with the same problem, or things went unanswered. So I'm submitting this with some extra info hoping to get help:

User fill out all the info but then nothing happens when pressing submit

MyBB Version: 1.8.3
Plugins:
Favicon in address bar (1.0.1)
Google Analytics (1.5)
Google SEO (1.6.8)

I DID run file verification and it was fine.

Disabling everything got it working (ALL plugins).

I feel I'm a little vulnerable to bots but at least people can register.

you have mentioned 3 plugins. I suspect that favicons plugin is the cause.
And there should be no need to use plugins for favicon & Google Analytics. both can be manually done.

I have mybb is its own domain in a subfolder of a docroot of another domain with its own favicon (multi-host site), so I can't put the favicon there and it doesn't seem to work in subfolder. :\ But I can probably move google analytics plugins out.

my users keep reporting the same issues, I only use DVZ shoutbox plugin. nothing more. DVZ latest and mybb latest too (1.8.3).
