hey friends please tell me when the new android version will updated for Samsung galaxy s3.

Unlikely it ever will be. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for Bell to get off their lime and push the update to my Galaxy S5.

I got Android 4.4.2 for my Galaxy S4 last month. I did hear rumors that the S3 may get Android 4.4 for a limited amount of devices, yours may and may not be one of them. But after a quick search, I've just found this: http://www.androidpit.com/galaxy-s3-android-update

You may get an update, you may not. You probably won't though.

i got stinking lollipop upgrade for my samsung phone recently. actually "stinking" is putting rather mildly.

I think Samsung will not upgrade galaxy S3..
Personally I prefer Sony, because they officially stated that every Z device (even the oldest one) will get lollipop..

i found out that android devs found a bug in lollipop. "unexpected memory leakage in nexus phones.. that explains the behavioral problems on my phone. iam hoping a security patch will be avaliable
