using the file manager on your host control panel (cpanel) or ftp client like FileZilla, open the root folder of your forum and delete the index.html file

NOTE: delete index.html file not index.php

it is working with index.php
there is another index page (eg. index.html or default.html) and that needs to be removed

he requested help via pm and sent guidance to delete the file and looks like he has finally deleted index.html file... index.html now returns a 404.. all is well now...
