So im running mybb forum and was wondering if it would be possible to have a page that would show 10 square blocks that display and image and a title/ text description.

Im thinking maybe i create a thread, and it would then show on the article page but im not sure exactly how i would go about this.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how i could achieve this?
assuming that you are using recent version of MyBB (version 1.8.x)
you can use MyBBlog plugin or OUGC pages plugin

Im running 1.6, So im guessing they wont work?
MyBB 1.6.x also has a plugin for pages. see Page Manager
see also Page Manager - Share your custom pages & manual method to add a new php page

I'm using Page Manager now, but how would i use that to do articles?
^ you can use the plugin to make a page with regular html code and add link to the page at header links
(can't explain the process right now - moving to sleep)

Hmm ah ok, I will try and experiment with that now.

When you get back im curious on a few points, would'nt i need to add each article to the code every time i add a new article? or would it be possible to do it like an rss feed? and then do links and descriptions.
Why not just use XThreads?

Example on my personal site: http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/forumdisplay.php?fid=22

Doesnt xthreads change all of the forums? or have i got that wrong.

if not what would be the best way to go about using xthreads.
Look on Zingaburga's site. XThreads only affects those forums you activate it in.
