I want to get MyBB version 1.6.16 for more theme's.. Now I did many things on MyBB 1.8.. It's really sin to remove it. So.. Is it possible to use the MyBB 1.8 database for a MyBB 1.6.16 forum?

Please, answer as you know it! Big Grin

No, it isn't.

No, because that isn't even MyBB.
with more number of themes, maintenance will be difficult whenever a modification (plugin) is added / removed
I'd suggest to not use a lot of themes. basically 3 or 4 themes should suffice for a general forum.
May be try to install mybb 1.6.x with same database. Or install mybb 1.6.x and import the database of mybb 1.8.x ...

Or search here http://community.mybb.com/search.php?act...order=desc

As I already said, that won't work.
#Destroy666 told me it not possible because mybb 1.6.x and mybb 1.8.x table are different. : http://community.mybb.com/thread-164684-...pid1128757

But i have any idea if we back up database of mybb 1.8.x from each table one by one using phpmyadmin and import to mybb 1.6.x database each table one by one using phpmyadmin. then may be it can work. chances are less but i am not sure by idea is work or not.

It won't work. There are too many differences, and it could cause issues when upgrading to 1.8 again. If anyone tries to use a 1.8 database on a 1.6 forum, they won't get support for any issues they encounter as a result.
No, it won't work fully properly no matter what you do. A nonexistent downgrade script is needed and I doubt anyone will ever write it (surely not we).
