This is my first post and first forum attempt. Hope I made a good choice - after researching for three days I went with MyBB!

http://designatedmarksman.org/ is hosted at GoDaddy and i was excited to find they had a neat upload for MyBB included their hosting package.
Anyway, I want to get my logo changed from the MyBB logo before going any further. I've researched here for a long time but still can't seem to find the image gallery to upload a logo.
I know this is a stupid noob question... but I'm stuck.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year to everybody.
first of all, welcome to Mybb... I bet it was a good choice...
coming to your query, to change the logo first upload a logo image to your server inside the public_html/images folder. you can use the file manager on the cpanel or a ftp client like FileZilla...
then login to your Admin CP >> Themes >> Click on the theme name >> Scroll down to Edit Theme Properties >> Board Logo >> enter the link to the image you have uploaded
EDIT: what you mean by saying godaddy included a mybb upload. are you referring to the softaculous script installer...

I followed instructions but logo is not showing. It is in the file manager under dm.org.png and installed it in themes.
Any other ideas?
your site is not live yet??? where you have uploaded the image, could you provide the image link...

Thanks guys. It was live all day..... but I got too frustrated and uninstalled it.
Googled and searched this forum all day and couldn't figure out how to make the simplest things work.
It shouldn't be that difficult to install a logo. I couldn't even change a theme without ripping what hair I have left out of my head. I've build several eCommerce stores before and haven't had this much trouble. I can't believe there's no tutorials anywhere to get you started on the basic stuff.
I really like the look of the MyBB sites but there has to be an easier to use solution out there.

Most templates I attempted to load were giving me issues I think because of the new version.
Simply upload the logo to " images " folder and use the name " logo.png " for logo. It will automatically detect the new logo.
