Can you guide me with this please ? When I changed home page url to domain.com/portal.php, I had some errors as mentioned here

Update: Also, add DirectoryIndex portal.php in your htaccess.

Add in first line of .htaccess

DirectoryIndex portal.php

Is it not possible to make the switch temporary ? ie, without causing url change ?

So just to be correct, you wish to redirect malayalamcomputerhelp.com to malayalamcomputerhelp.com/portal.php ?

Yes. And switch back to forum with time.

Keep http://malayalamcomputerhelp.com as board url in settings (it's important!) - change only the DirectoryIndex in .htaccess

Redirect 302 / portal.php

Add that to the bottom of your .htaccess file in your forum root directory.
