you are adding those rewrite rules after renaming the htaccess.txt to .htaccess right... asking because the codes given by svepu should work fine if you have added them correctly...

Does your host actually have mod_rewrite enabled? I'm sure they could tell you. Also ask them if .htaccess files are supported on the server you are hosted on.
this is now fixed sorry i didnt select resolved. Staff of mybb fixed it for me,
