I have seen several other threads about similar problems and need some help from someone more knowledgeable about this than I am.

To begin with, I have talked to GoDaddy tech support and they have moved it up to level 3 support. Level 3 reported back that there is nothing wrong on their end and that the issue lies in the MyBB software.   Even so, we upped the server capacity to max without going onto a dedicated server.

Hosting provider error or you have not configuration Mysql correctly.

Mostly it is a errors from hosting provider. Contact them again.

Yep, just did. Sat on the phone with them for 20 minutes - had 3 people looking it over - all concurred it is not on their end.

For the access denied for user part, that is something you can control. Either you did not copy the credentials correctly or you haven't assigned the user to the database.

The too many connections error is something your host will have to resolve.
