Hi all,
My forum has over 73,000 posts and this number is rapidly growing. Recently, the forum I manage has been running very slowly, and we had a server overload yesterday. I have one thread that has over 18,500 posts alone, and I think that this is the reason why I am having problems.
In an attempt to alleviate the strain on the server, we would like to split this huge thread into a large number of smaller threads, possibly by month. For example, all posts from January 2014 would be in one thread, all posts from February 2014 would be in one thread, etc.
Does anyone know of an existing plugin for myBB 1.8 which is capable of doing this automatically, or something similar? It would be a lot easier even if there was a plugin to select all 10 posts on that page of the thread.
