I am in the middle of creating a forum and have a bunch of sticky posts to throw all over the site in different sections.

For purposes of making the site look professional and consistent, I'd like all of these posts to appear as though they were posted at the same time.

Would it cause any problems if I was to directly edit the date & time posted from within the database in phpMyAdmin?
yes you can change post's dateline in the database with a new timestamp... you can get the timestamp from here: http://www.timestampgenerator.com/

but why dont you use global announcements instead, if you are going to have the same set of sticky threads in all sections...

Thanks a bunch for the link. They won't be the same posts in each section, they'll all be different, and some will require user input on the topic too, and with the Forum Announcements feature it doesn't allow users to post.

Cheers.
