Hi all

I am fairly new to Mybb but I do like what I see, I upgarded my board from 1,6 to 1.8.3 and I have a few issues that I am hoping someone can help me with.


Issues
1. Anyone who had a signature with an extenally hosted image now has the url in the post rtaher than the image , for example this shows up for one of my members.

2. embedded images that work previously no longer show up, rather I see this text, its almost like BCC code isnt working anymore, yet I have mycode enabled in the ACP.

3. I no longer have options for Bold, Italic etc available anymore... its very weird.


Any asistance would be greatly appreciated.

upgrading guidance Wrote:Visit your Admin Control Panel, then go to Templates & Style > Templates > Find Updated Templates. This will show you a list of all the templates that have changed during the upgrade.

You can either revert these templates to their default - meaning all the changes you've made to it will be removed - or you can see a Diff Report which will show you exactly what's changed. If you have a custom theme installed, it is probably best that you look at the Diff Report and apply the changes you need.

or it would be better to install & use a theme fully compatible with MyBB 1.8.x

thanks .M., I checked  profile options in ACP and Allow [img] Code in Signatures  in set to yes, I then checked the SQL scripts in the thread you pointed me to,  they ran but no rows were updated. I used the database myadmin to look at my user tables and located a user who's signature wasnt showing.  I can see that showimages is set to 1.

Url is ozcbr250.com , Im using the standard theme that shipped with 1.8 as my old theme (Aardvark) isnt spported in 1.83

Any other ideas ?

^ MyBB's stock theme templates also need updating. why not try a new theme and check ..

Okay, so I installed several new themes and they posting buttons now show up, however I do like the standard theme, how do I update the templates so they work ? Sorry to ask all the questions, but I am MYBB newbie and am a tad lost.

Items 1 and 2 are now fixed
