No, I always log out to allow the cookie to reset so to speak and I've just posted a thread funnily enough to make sure my users are doing the same.
... right. Well I never logout and I never have a problem.
hmmm strange. I would have thought that would have caused more of the problems due to the cookies not being written to. When you log out the cookie is written to and knows what is new next time you log in.
Open the link to view new posts, and leave it open, when someone has made some new posts, refresh the search page and see if the new posts appear.
1. Make sure your site time is correct.
2. Make sure your usercp time is correct.
3. Try changing the setting to no-cache headers in admincp.

Oh and try a new browser too. Sometimes that helps you get back in to change your settings....Firefox which is getting more widely used caches way too much stuff imho and does a poor job of updating itself when things get changed.
