Full Version: When registering, no image shown in "Image Verification" section

If needed, my forum is at: http://leadershipformen.com/forum

I am using the "Square" theme.

As you can see in the below screenshot...there is no image displayed in the "Image Verification" section...which obviously means the user has no text to enter.

Clicking "Refresh" does nothing.

My second thought was that the yellow-circled "Image Verification" WAS the "image"...so I entered "Image Verification" in the box...which produced the error:

"The image verification code that you entered was incorrect. Please enter the code exactly how it appears in the image."

Help!  People can't register for my forum.

1. Make sure all plugin files you uploaded are encoded as UTF-8 without BOM: http://community.mybb.com/thread-141130-...pid1019988
2. Check if the required GD library is installed on your server.

What do you mean by GD library?

In short: Ask your host if they have it installed.

The only two plugins I have are:

1) Hello World! (2.0) which has NOT been installed or activated.

2) XSTYLED custom languaje vars (1.0)  which allegedly was required as part of using the "Square" theme...and it IS installed and activated.

I do have Notepad++ that I can use to save a file and re-upload it...if that will work.  The question is, WHICH file(s) do I need to "fix"?

GoDaddy asserts that the GD Graphics Library is definitely installed on my server.

I searched http://community.mybb.com/mods.php?actio...ry=plugins but it tells me there is not bomfix plugin.

I interpreted you pointing me to this post to mean that I needed to install a plugin.

Am I misunderstanding something?
Well, the blue bomfix word is a link.. To an attachment with the plugin.
Okay...so I have ran the bomfix plugin...

Which apparently is really a bom-report plugin...as far as I can tell, it doesn't fix anything...

And, the plugin reports that pretty much most of the forum files do not have a ?> at the end of them...

But, there are no BOM errors.

GoDaddy asserts that the GD Graphics Library is definitely installed on my server.

So, I'm back to square one...how do I get the registration process working where users can register?

How do I get the verification image to show up?

Are you running adblock? I have had some people say that when they run adblock, they cannot see the image verification.
Try using the diff tool on the member_register template. ACP->styles & Templates->Templates->Your Theme->Member Templates.
Well...this morning, the image is magically showing up. It would not show up at all yesterday...but today it seems to be ready to come out and play.

So, unless the problem reappears, I'll consider this issue resolved.

No. I am running Norton 360 though which as of right now does not appear to hinder anything.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help.
