I am curious to know how to upload new emotes to your cpanel files, then go and add them directly through your admin CP. Can someone please help me and fast?

ACP -> Configuration -> Smilies

Edit: delayed response

add the images to a new folder (eg. ~/images/emoticons/) and add them through admin panel
admin panel >> configuration >> smilies >> Add Multiple Smilies --> Path to Images <-- enter images/foldername (eg. images/emoticons)
