I am trying to install the newest version of goodbye spammer onto my board (version 1.6.5). I have copied the files to the indicated locations however the plugin isn't showing up on the plugins page.
Just throwing this out there. 1.8 comes with a purge spammer. But on my previous board, I had 1.6.5 worked fine. You don't need to have another plugin for it to operate the correct way right?
You should upgrade to at least 1.6.16 before asking for any help. 1.6.5 hassome vulnerabilities and you may get hacked easily especially that you published your link.
I have updated the forum and the plugin still doesn't show up.
did you upload the files to correct locations... please check from your ftp, if you have the goodbyespammer.php file inside the /inc/plugins folder....
It wasn't in the plugins folder. :/
then obviously the plugin isnt uploaded or uploaded to a wrong location... make sure you upload the files to the right folders...
Yes I moved it and now it is working.
