it was working in 1.8.3.... but in 1.8.4, even if the setting is "OFF" the posts get merged...
I'm confused, shouldn't the Post Flood Checking setting just throw an error when the posts are made too fast one after another? Or do you mean the Post Merge Time setting, which you have set to 0?
I don't see anything changed in 1.8.4 regarding that except one is_member() check which shouldn't influence any of these settings even if something is wrong with it.
but merging doesnt change the status of the original post, unless you want to prevent the user "editing" his posts too

sorry i was sleepy that day...
yup i mean the Post Merge Time.. this occured randomly on a fresh/clean local install... wiped off the files and reinstalled, now everything seems to be alright... this could be rejected....
