I have upgarded form 1.6 to 1.8 now under users>groups>guests>forums and posts> the guest users being able to post is unticked.

But spam guest users are still being able to post I have had to shut the forum until I figure out why this is happening.

Could it be a corrupt file during the upgrade process if so which file controls that setting in admin CP.

Any help would be much appricated.

check the forum permissions for guests..

ACP >> Forums and Posts >> Select a Forum >> Permissions tab >> Edit Custom Permission for Guests

Now im getting blank scrreen when updating these permissions do you recon I have a bad file
