I'd like to know if there is any way to make the default editor Source-code only.

I have tried setting it in the user Control Panel, but for some reason, it randomly switches between Source code and WYSIWYG.

I personally do not like the WYSIWYG mode, and find it difficult and problematic.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Nope. Unfortunately that didn't help. When I try to edit code it still puts it in WYSIWYG.
