Okay I was at 1.8.3 so used the changed file upgrade and just uploaded the files... All looked good and was running most of the day until now.

This is my error I have now

MyBB SQL Error

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.

SQL Error:
1054 - Unknown column '2fasecret' in 'field list'

Query:
SELECT 2fasecret FROM mybb_adminoptions WHERE uid='1'

I am unable to get past this error..

I searched this error and found one other thread on it but did not figure out any solution.

I will put this out there.. ----> should I upload the install folder and do the upgrade by that ? \As
wrote prior I only uploaded the changed files 1.8.4 rar...

I figured I would run the install/upgrade.php .. bingo this worked fine..

Anyways I hope this also helps others..

Glad you figured it out! In the future, make sure to look for that line when you're going to do an upgrade. It tells you important info!

Yes reading is important lol ... I just did a file change last time so I assumed...
