hello , i'm using Sql server and created a database for the forum & named it "mybb" ,but i still get that error: "There seems to be one or more errors with the database configuration information that you supplied:

• Could not connect to the database server at 'VMI35680\SQLEXPRESS' with the supplied username and password. Are you sure the hostname and user details are correct?
  

Once the above are corrected, continue with the installation." . I checked my DB connection to the forum , id & pw and I can't find where the error is. tried to search in forums for a solution and found nothing that could help.
i'm also sure that the db connection info is completely right.
pS: i'm installing  it on  a virtual private server [vps]

Edit : I'm using zendserver
Another edit : I'm using sql 2012
Any help would  be much appreciated.

MyBB does not support Microsoft SQL Server, please check the requirements: http://docs.mybb.com/1.8/install/requirements/
