Since the upgrade to 1.8.4 if I choose to check the boxes for both of the following options in User CP / Other Options:

- Show the MyCode formatting options on the posting pages.
- Put the editor in source mode by default

the editor defaults to not be in source mode.

I noticed the same is true here on myBB Community forums.

I would like to be able to both have the editor in source mode by default and show the MyCode formatting options, but it doesn't seem possible since the upgrade.

Is it possible to update SCEditor to version 1.4.7 on your own forum or do we have to wait for myBB 1.8.5? If possible, how does one do it?

My members are asking for an update of the editor as they are having difficulties posting as it is. Any news when it will be released for myBB?

Well, you can update the files on your forum according to the patch: https://github.com/mybb/mybb/pull/1914/files

And MyBB 1.8.5 should be released soon.

I'm still eagerly awaiting 1.8.5 to correct this issue. Any news on when it's being released?
