Working on this for a friend and i added more smilies but its started to load very slow on the newthread/newreplay pages.

Not sure whats causing it. Can someone help.

Because you are uploading a LOAD of small separate images in order to use the smilies. This of course causes delay.

You could try the sprited smilies plugin by Rakes.

Oh right.... Last time i did this the page loaded first then the smilies loaded after that. I thought it would have done it the same way this time around.

Hmm This plugin is incompatible with MyBB 1.8.4.

I'll try changing the line in the plugin file.
Tried that plugin. Does not seem to work.. Hmm
Its not the smilies thats doing it. Sad
