Hello guys, I have this problem since I updated MyBB 1.8.3. I try to send mail example password reset:
Configuration SMTP:

Text Configuration SMTP:
SMTP hostname: tls://smtp.gmail.com
SMTP port: 465
SMTP Encryption Mode: No encryption
Mail Logging: Log Everything
Add message ID in mail headers: No

Error log e-mail:
Unable to connect to the mail server with the given details. Reason: 13: Permission denied

Did you try with ssl://smtp.gmail.com as hostname ?

Please never specify tls:// or ssl:// with the host name; use the encryption setting instead. Also you can't use TLS with port 465, Google requires to use SSL with it.

Ok thanks it worked, I had tried also in the past but nothing.
